Options supplied by CAD/CAM technology have advanced at such a rapid rate in recent years that the essential materials could only be developed in the second instance. We were not convinced by resin infused wax blanks during our quest for the right waxes for this technology. The primary approach is to save the data from the waxed-up pattern for the final restoration.
The transfer of data to the definitive restoration allows for more systematic work and saves a lot of time. The wax-up data can be utilized as a starting point for the definitive restoration. The most important feature is that the milled wax components can be treated further with no issues. This was accomplished through the development of this wax.
